Sale Horses

We all know how tedious it can be when horse shopping. We only present well trained and maintained horses for a buyers consideration. We take great pride in keeping the horses legged up and active either in the show ring or in the lesson program. We also take a lot of effort to properly evaluate the horses so we can find the perfect match and provide as much information to potential buyers as possible. We are not horse traders or flippers so you can rest assured that we take our time to really get to know these horses and have their best interest in mind when finding them new homes. We have transparent sales contracts on all our horses and are happy to work with buyers.

Toasted Marshmallow   **SOLD**

** Price Reduced for Christmas!!**

Presenting: Toasted Marshmallow

“Autumn” is an attractive 14.2h 2012 bay appaloosa mare with lots of chrome, currently suitable for an intermediate rider.

Autumn was rescued from Louisiana floodwaters in 2016 by Alaqua Animal Refuge. We think she may be a Pony of the Americas, but her exact breeding (or any other history) is unknown. She has always been friendly with people and very willing to learn, but it was clear when we adopted her at the end of July 2017 that she had no under saddle training.

Started under saddle by a professional in September 2017, by her fifth ride Autumn was ridden exclusively by a talented junior rider. Autumn completed several schooling events, scoring a 78% at her first show doing Intro B in December 2017. As “Toasted Marshmallow,” Autumn entered and completed two USEA-recognized events at Beginner Novice level in the past year, most recently finishing in 5th place on her dressage score in the Open BN division at the July 6, 2018 Chatt Hills H.T.

She is flashy, sturdy, and level-headed, and always aims to please. Her form over fences could place very well in the hunter ring, but she has the precision and bravery to be successful in eventing or dressage. With more mileage, Autumn would make a lovely all-rounder pony for children and petite adults. Make this the best holiday ever with this lovely pony!

Mischief Managed    **SOLD**

Halo” is an attractive 14.2h 2012 chestnut mare, currently suitable for an intermediate rider seeking a lifelong companion.

Halo was rescued from Louisiana floodwaters in 2016 by Alaqua Animal Refuge. We think she may be a Paso Fino, but her exact breeding (or any other history) is unknown. When we adopted her at the end of July 2017, she had no under saddle training, and her trust in people came very slowly.

Halo was started under saddle by a professional in September 2017 with dressage training in mind. Halo was surprisingly easy to train and took every new question in her stride. Over the winter of 2017, Halo blossomed as a "people horse" and is easy to handle on the ground.

She behaves well for the farrier, the vet, and to be clipped, and she will stand tied for hours without worry at a horse show. Halo wants affection from her humans, and won't say no to a treat or two! She is remarkably brave when faced with new or potentially frightening stimuli, and has led horses with more advanced training (but not so much bravery) on trail rides like an old campaigner.

Despite her willing, easy personality under saddle, Halo is not for a beginner rider, and she does not enjoy being ridden exclusively in an arena. Halo is never unsafe or mischevious, but does tend towards stress and tension when schooled in an arena too often. Halo's ideal home would focus on trail riding, hacking out, or maybe even hill-topping with your local hunt.

We are looking to find Halo a "forever home" with a person who wants the type of companionship Halo offers.
